Hey everybody!

Just updated my T-Mobile S7 Edge to 7.0. Have a question regarding the always on display feature. I'm unable to see any 3rd party notifications (whatsapp, gmail, facebook etc.) on the AOD screen. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

Settings--display-aod-about always on display. Once you click about aod it should tell you an update is available. If not then Idk why it didn't update with nougat.

Some apps just don't seem to show the notifications. I can never get FB to show up on the AOD screen. Gmail works for me. I don't use whatsapp so I can't test it for you.

I'm getting all of my notifications on the AOD display but I don't have the options of setting the clock to nifty colors anymore.

Go to lock Screen and Security, make sure Notifications On Lock Screen is set at Show Content. Whatever is on in the selections below at that point shows on the AOD. I get notifications for everything.........

Now I think I see what the op may be talking about. I get notifications from textra on the screen, but it's only showing up as a empty circle. I don't know it's a text message until I click on it. My email, fb, ig, and Twitter work so far. I've only seen this issue with my texts.

Is it necessary to have a lock screen set to get notifications? i don't get any notifications unless I am using a lock screen which i don't really care for

I love the AOD! I just don't love it as much as I did a couple days ago, just before the latest software update. I got Date, Time, Battery %, and only 2 notifications: Missed Calls, and Text Messages. That's all I wanted! It was perfect!

Now, I have to turn off all notifications except the one(s) that I want, but the AOD still does not indicate whether there are any text messages waiting, regardless of what I do. I did manage to get it to show missed calls, so there's that....

Getting "You've got mail" notifications on the Always On Display is pointless, because I get hundreds of emails per day, so I KNOW that I have mail waiting, I don't need a notification to tell me that.
