always on display question

Re: always in display question

Have you tried doing both. I don't remember seeing it myself, but maybe once you've done both it will stop.

Apparently I didn't do the walkthrough for the always on display. Anyways after doing and the short how to it has gone away.

I havent seen any swipe to use iris scanner. It just works ever time I look at my phone.

Mine is doing the same thing. How did you get the AoD Walkthrough to pop up?

Where are the Always On Display background images stored? I would like to use a customized background image.

Thanks. I tried. I want to use the digital clock AOD. However, I have a limited choice of background images. Where are those images stored? I could drop my custom image in that folder and it theoretically allow me to choose it.

Ah. Misunderstood.
I have not tried to put an image into that Folder.
If it works for you, let us know.

Go into settings -> Lock Screen and Security. Scroll down until you find Always On Display and enable it. It should trigger the walk through.
Thanks, it was already on. I ended up doing a factory reset (I had other issues also). It's all good now.

Sucks doing a FDR now when I have a replacement phone inbound, lol.

Well. After searching. I can't seem to find where the background images that the digital clock uses are stored.

Next question, it said the always on display allows you to view messages by pressing on the icon that pops up under the clock. I can't actually get this to work. I have display notifications turned on for the lock screen. Also other than the swing music player is there any other players that work with the aod.

PlayerPro is my favorite one, $4 i think and its works with aod. I like it cos u can do folders in folders

I believe you have to double-tap on the notification icon to view the message from the AOD.

Yeah you gotta double tap the icon then unlock your phone, and it will automatically open the app for the icon you clicked. I don't think you can see the messages on AOD

I had the same question few days back, just do once both hard pressing and double tapping the home button. After that it'll go away.
