Am I crazy?

So I have been using Samsung since the Galaxy S2 (S2, S3, Note 2, S4, Note 3, S5) and have been seriously considering the Moto X Gen 2. It has got really good reviews. Only thing holding me back is the new Nexus phones soon to come out. Waiting on those. Am I carry? Been die hard Samsung for ever, but for the first time I have almost no interest in their latest (that being the Note 4). Am I crazy for wanting to try another brand?

Why do you buy so many phones?? They all do the same <stuff>. I mean, you should buy what makes you happy. So, if you think the Moto X is something you want to try, then go for it. But what does it really matter? Based on your purchasing habits, you're going to buy another phone a few months from now anyway.

Nexus are great devices, can't blame you for wanting to switch. But I think moto devices are always a little behind in specs compared to other device in the market.

But, keep in mind that even though the Moto X doesn't have the best specs, it still runs as smooth, if not smoother than most flagship devices.

I had all Samsung phones since the Galaxy S3 and now I decided to try something new and have the Xperia Z3 now, switching from my Galaxy S5... It's an awesome phone! It's always good to try something new

YES, but who cares? I change phones a lot. My favorite is the HTC One M8, but I like the camera in the S5 better. I hear HTC is finally going to change it in the M9, so I might go back...

I had the S4, and then I got the S5 when it came out. I'm Interested In the note 4, but I'll probably go with the M8 or Z3.
I'd actually like to try out a phone with every manufacturer, but I'll get the new phone this month and then I'll go from there.

Yeah definitely you have to try another brand. My suggestion is try moto or nexus. I came up with moto G and moto X and now I am using nexus 5 really I felt so much comfortable with this mobiles. I am suggesting you to use this mobiles these are excellent.
But now I think you can't buy moto G because, I think you know why?

You know this already, but the moto x has battery issues, no sd memory, poor display color compared to 'REAL' colors., and for more reading take a look at Anandtech.com review. Look, I wanted the new moto x too, badly, but after reading the reviews, and seeing the youtube video by mkbhd, and others, I just could not do it. I'll wait for the new moto x+1, in late 2015. Oh, the camera is very below par too. But you know this. I do like that it will read text messages to you. Good luck, but be informed before you buy.

I would NOT give up my S5 for the upcoming Nexus. For one... this upcoming Nexus... in my opinion... is too large. The S5 display is much better than any device out there. Keep your S5!

I change phones once or twice a year. There are people far worse than that however I work in the industry so keeping an up to date device in my hands is a must. Secondly they are not all the same, even if the changes are only slightly different. Every phone has something different to offer. Don't know why the hostile reply.
