Am I just missing the 'New' Thunderbolt ROMs

Thundershed is the sheeet. Dirty flashed stock 1.4 over 1.3 w/imo 6.1 and all is cool. Smooth and stock battery lasts forever on 3g. Gonna give it a full LTE run but since I only use LTE when I tether AND plug in, I'm not too concerned.

I just read this somewhere.. Worth a shot.

"That is almost always because your CWM is not current. Try updating it, then flash again"

Updating CWM did it. Awesome, Thanks for the tip OTW. I had seen that CWM had an update but just had not flashed it. :-! Now just to get my apps restored. I'll update later with status, likes and dislikes...thanks again OTW

You know I have just been extracting my apps from my most recent nandroid with titanium backup lately. Really works well.

Yeah, thats how I restore mine. Though I have noticed that when doing that on ThunderShed1.3, if you pick an app to restore then hit 'cancel' it locked my phone. Well didnt lock it really just TBackup continues to attempt to install with no way to stop install. I waited multiple minutes but no change. Eventually had to pull battery/power off. Probably need to let Shed know over on RootsWiki I guess.

I also noticed Shed updated to 1.4 yesterday. Can i just flash over the top of 1.3 and not loose my settings/setup?

First make a nandroid of 1.3 just in case!

After you download 1.4 just clear dalvik and cache and you can dirty flash 1.4. You won't lose any settings. Worked great. I would.also recommend flashing imo 1.6 aosp kernel.

I am an idiot and I more than likely asked this before but can anyone direct me to directions for knowing which Kernel one has on the bolt and where can I find the best ones for Thundershed?

OK here is what I have;

2.6.35.14-cm-shed-2+workshed64@workshed64-desktop#1
Is this the proper one or did I screw something up?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Yeah..thats your Kernel. I assume that is the one that loads with Thundershed. I updated mine with Imoseyon-6.1

I must do that soon then. Right now my bolt is sitting drying from a Zagg install. Has anyone else ignored the 12 24 hour wait period and had any problems?

Yeah...looks like it. Thats what I have and I don't see anything newer Here.

Did you update to Thundershed 1.5? My GPS has been screwy so I havnt yet. Been trying to get it working correctly before I change anything...

There's an easy fix for GPS on thundershed 1.5 .... Download "GPS status" from the market, backup thundershed 1.5 rom, flash or restore any sense rom. Then download GPS status again....run the app till you get a GPS lock ....then immediately reboot in recovery and restore thundershed 1.5 rom .....turn on GPS status. DONE!

I hear FasterFix from the Play Store helps fix the GPS issue. I haven't had any trouble on Thundershed personally, but it seems to have helped many others.

Yeah, found those fixes over on ROOTSWIKI and had already done the senseflash to get GPS to work when I loaded Thundershed.

The problem I was having is that it was taking forever to get GPS lock. Like back when the Thunderbolt was new and I had not rooted or flashed any ROMS(was a problem with the original software on the phone). I believe Verizon eventually fixed it with an OTA for those with stock devices, and it was resolved with my first flash of BAMF on my device.

I had not really used my GPS much over the winter so I just noticed it was not working correctly again. Eventually (5-10 min) I get lock when using RunKeeper to track my runs. Although sometimes I have to bring up GPS Status to do so. I missed my run last night so I will check it today.

**Just went outside the office and GPS locked in about 4sec**

following PieceKeepr's steps in comment #2945 HERE appears to have resolved it for me. Unfortunalty not sure if it was the FasterFix App or the patch listed.

liquid is getting close on full fledged ICS rom that ive been keeping my eye on
[AOSP]LIQUIDSMOOTH-ICS-BETA[01/28/12] - RootzWiki

I have been using SHIFT AOSP IC3.2 for so long. Came back and upgraded to MR4; Team Win Recovery Project and LS AOSP/CM7. Its so nice fast and power resistant!

Im just waiting to see if we get any GOOD ICS's ported over on the release or just wait for CM9/AOSP if any developers go to the trouble of compiling it.

Would be nice to try I guess I will do a search for those ROMs. Have not really used my GPS too much so I cannot comment on the problems. Soon I will be using it with Endomondo to track my cycling. To addicted to using the stationary until it gets warmer. Yeah I am a wimp
