Am I the only one who loves the power button?

I think the location for the power button is great, one I barely use it to wake the device, I use the double tap feature, and talk about screen shots are a hell of a lot easier, I hot the volume down power button with the same finger lol so no more screen shots with the volume bar in the middle

Nope me too, I cannot believe people complain saying they fumble the volume. Its great - Adam

Coming from the nexus 5 it takes a little to get used too but the vol and power buttons do feel different and with the case (spigen gunmetal bumper) I have less button confusion its just remembering the button is on the middle of the device and people say HTC is bad at symmetry lol I think there on point

The people who have reviewed the phone have complained the most. I want to say they review a lot of phones and probably have a greater idea of what is more natural to everyone. Then again they have a great perspective as well. Using a brand new phone like my mom or father would. If they are mixing up the buttons on the left side of the device (customers right side) then others are probably going to run into the same problem. One of the reviewers said the SIM card slot can make you confuse it with a volume button because it isn't flush with the side of the phone.

I use double tap to wake myself on my M8. And I try doing that on my M7 because I forget sometimes..LOL Everyone is different but the power button looks strange on the left side of a device. A phone should be a bit more balanced. One button on the right side would have helped even things up. Not to mention have been more natural to a customer in my opinion.

I'm not against ithe power button location but I don't love it either. The placement is not a deal breaker. I'll adjust and will be just fine. Like Gruff35, the biggest complainers are the reviwers.

It's not bad because the Z3 has it in a similar position as the M9, but I can tell you that it is more convenient taking screenshots if the power button and volume buttons were on opposite sides

I'm used to 3 buttons on the right side (using a BlackBerry Z10). While the one in between the volume up and down isn't a power button, it has always been easy to navigate. I doubt I'd have issue with a side power button.

I like the placement and feel of the power button. My only issue is with the volume buttons which are too discreet. Sometimes I have to look for the buttons, mainly because I cannot feel them with my hand. I guess with time I will get used to them.

I saw this review and that comment really made me realise how much of a plank the writer really was (the rest of the review gave me a good idea, this confirmed it)

To say one would confuse the sim slot for a button is ridiculous, I can only assume the writer didn't know how to correctly insert his sim card and left it protruding some way.

The slot on my M9 sits completely flush and never in a million years will I ever mistake it for a button ever - Adam
