The OP wasn't talking about the double phone owners. I think it's more the trolling comments from former HTC One owners.

Personally, once I stop owning a phone I don't return to post or read about it. The only time I go check in is when I run into a forum for a phone I used to own years back....and find out folks are still owning that phone.

Thank you. You understood what I was talking about. Never the dual phone owner. Or the helpful insight from previous owners. But only the smack talkers.

Have any of you owned a Nexus 4? Either way, which one do you think is better and why? The Nexus 4 or the HTC One?

I used to own the N4. In the end, is what you want on a phone.

Pro's of the N4: It's affordable. You get the latest Android. Good design and solid (as long as ya don't crack the glass

Con's: Low storage options. 16GB tops. Not so good camera. Sound quality as in playing music over the speakers can sound tiny or low.

Personally, I love the HTC One. I kept the N4 to play with future Android builds.

Can definitely understand where you're coming from in that regard to the possible trolling. But I've been frequenting this and the S4 forums even though I'm an iPhone 5 owner just to see how everyone is liking their devices and I'm a techno geek like most of us on here.

The one. I own both. And several other flagship phones. Personally I like the one better. The nexus 4 is a wonderful phone but ultimately the one is better. Ultimately it's your decision. My brother and girlfriend both have the nexus 4 and you can see the jealousy written all over their faces when I pull out the One. Haha.

It's funnyhow many so called EX owners of HTC One are still checking an HTC ONE topic. They all say the same. "yeah I had the same problem so I went with the S4" ANNOYING. Either you miss it or you are trolling. There is no reason I would check threads for phones I no longer own. That's just dumb. Thanks.

Well I dont own an iPhone anymore but still browse mac rumors. It's keeping yourself informed. Some people go from phone to phone regularly.

For the cost you won't find a better phone than the Nexus 4. If price or contracts are not an issue for you, however, the One is probably the better overall choice. It really boils down to what you need/like in a phone.

I checkout threads on all kinds of devices I do not own, and have absolutely no intention of owning. Especially if it gets in the "trending now" section. Just killing time and/or learning what other people and/or companies are up to. For the record, I'd bet the farm the Nexi forums are trolled the hardest and most definitely the longest (imo due to product cycle). Take it as a compliment. You'll be wondering where all "the haters" went in a few months when the One/S4 are old news

EDIT: Makes me think, is there anything legally prohibiting (aka patents) another OEM from creating a device with front facing stereo speakers? I know the software "boomsound" is patented. Who cares. Hard to believe that's a "revolutionary" idea in 2013. Just makes sense. How about front AND rear speakers?

Briefly touching on the topic of front facing speakers, I LOVE the front facing speakers I have on my Note 10.1. So I doubt they're patented because other devices have utilized that in other devices. I am interested in the speakers on the One as well.

And if you love your phone and you're happy with it, just ignore tha haters. Every single forum on this site has probably dealt with this nonsense at one time or another. It's just natural and will never stop. Including those who bag on something without owning it.

I have an HTC One and I like it better than the S4. Its just what you want in the end. But I still visit the S4 forums. Not to make fun of, start trouble or to talk smack. Its just to see whats going on out there. People are allowed to visit other forums. In fact I was dealing with this same thing your posting about in the carrier forums. I used to be a Sprint user and I would hang around to give feed back on my does and don'ts for the same reason why some of them hang around here. I'm sure some are here to troll but I hate it when people toss this term around. Happens to everyone. Just becuase you are not using or have something doesn't make you useless on the forums.

I hate to break it to you but 80% of the information on these forums per device are pretty universal at the end of the day. If you feel that someone is trolling just report them rather than wasting a post on the forums like this that will in the end only clutter peoples search. Either way don't be angry here the post really is a double edge sword but thats just my opinion.

HTC One. Battery life was abysmal on my n4 compared to the One x and s4. On to of the bump in specifications it's a no brainer unless your top priority is timely updates.

You say battery life was abysmal on your N4, implying that you no longer own one. Did you by any chance own your N4 long enough to get the 4.2.2 update? Because that update improved battery life, which is now pretty decent. I saw a screenshot Jerry posted showing him getting nearly 6 hours of screen time on his N4. That's really good.

While this is the first cell phone forum I have joined- I am a member of a few car and firearm forums, and have seen my fair share of people who claimed to have owned a product they hated- but later as their story fell back on them revealing more and more holes it became evident they lied. It can be hard to tell who is being honest on the internet! I like to give people the benefit of the doubt though.

For me, I got bored of the iPhone and tried out the GS4 one HTC One extensively. Read, and read, and read. Went into stores and played with them for long periods of time. Went through the motions of adding contacts, sending attachments, etc... Ended up preferring the HTC One. I am super pleased with it. I must admit I have not had the urge to go over and tell the Samsung or Apple guys/girls why I didn't like their devices. Alas, to each his own.

I agree though it's a public forum so...

I've owned many PalmOS devices and every webOS device that was and even wasn't available. I sold two HP Pre3s when I got the GS4. But I still go back to the webosnation forums to see what's going on and to give advice to anyone who has any questions I can answer since I have the experience. There may be trolls, but there are also just community members who just want to remain involved, have every right to do so, and whose input can be helpful.

I loved WebOS. I had the Pre. WebOS was awesome. I too went to the forums hoping to see a revival. But never to trash talk.
