Amazon app store, AB Rio, working on Honeycomb?

After dl'ing the amazon appstore & AB Rio, I found that the AB Rio game crashed a lot, so I dumped the appstore. Seems like the appstore always needs an internet connection, along with sign-in to your amazon account. No thanks... My kids will probably order a bunch of smurfberries or something.

It also seemed to create the same problems with the original AB and AB Seasons. Both crash soon after starting a game.

I'm reinstalling Seasons now, and maybe I will try dumping Rio. Kind of strange because the original AB and Seasons were both playable before installing the appstore and Rio.

How are others' experiences with these on their Honeycomb installs?

Yeah, I totally love Amazon for buying stuff but they can keep their App store.

If there is an app I just can't live without that is not on the Android market I will deal with it in other ways.

Uninstalled both the appstore and Rio now.

However, both the original AB and Seasons are now unstable/unplayable due to crashes.

Could be a total coincidence, but the crashing is very similar to what I saw when I tried to play Rio.

Maybe it will work fine for you out there, but I guess my HC setup is now a no-fly zone for Angry Birds. I'll try a new install of HC on a different SD card when I have some time.

Did you try moving both to the "internal phone memory"
Angry birds (nor any other app) will work for me if they are installed to "external memory" (which is the default).

Let me be clear. The original AB and Seasons both worked fine for me. I finished the first two groups of levels (42 levels?) in the original game, plus a few in seasons.

They do not work any more.

After installing the Amazon appstore and Rio, the games crash after a couple seconds. Same behavior as Rio. Fire a bird or two, and then the game locks up.

It could be coincidence, I suppose. However, Angry Birds games no longer work on my nook, even if they previously had been working.

A,nyway I will try to find the security/DRM token that Amazon installs as part of this thing to see if that was what messed up my AB games.
