My guess is they are selling used and/or refurbs (notice it's a third party seller, not Amazon direct), in which case I would be wary of tampering. I've seen several cases of third party vendors doing that lately. They get those used phones, root them (so who knows what they have done to them), wrap them up nice and neat, then sell them as like knew devices dirt cheap.

Sometimes Amazon Warehouse has some really good deals. Few years ago I got a like new Nexus 6 at 55% off the new price. It was basically new but had been opened and had a damaged box. Only issue is sometimes the description isn't accurate. Got a Nexus 6P that was supposed to be like new but it had some dings and missing accessories.

Fair enough, but I still wouldn't buy. I've had more than enough refurbish roulette direct from the manufacturers that I wouldn't ever buy one. I won't even do a warranty claim if there's a defect I can live with for fear of getting a dud.

Yeah, the warehouse deals phones come with the standard Amazon return policy. Some of them aren't refurbished. Just open box/ returned in mint condition.

Yep, worth a try. You got nothing to lose. Few years back, I bought a Nexus 6P for an insane deal and it was like brand new when I received it.

Amazon refurbished usually means product returns. I have bought Amazon refurbs in the past and they always appear to have been totally unused; like someone opened the package, decided they didn't like the color, the feel, whatever, and closed it back up and returned for credit.

Usually, excellent deals.

Yea, doesn't sound like a bad roll of the dice if it's from Amazon directly. Even if it just had a scratch on it or nick I'd still keep it for that price!
