Amazon Orders

Well I ordered the 32gb grey on the 19th and my shipping still says jan 26- feb. Hopefully it will be a much earlier delivery date.

Depends on your state, believe some of the western states (CA?) may have taxes still, but I know they don't charge them for TX which is roughly 81/4% savings. That's why I always consider them for big $ purchases.

JUST got a shipping update for my Champagne tablet-no word on the two Amethyst Grey tablets I ordered. Now I get to enjoy the challenge of finding a dock in Grey. Oy!

My order had extra weeks added to the end of it from Jan 25-Feb something , to Jan 25th to March 8th. That was the final straw, I got one at BH from nowinstock.net last night. Already shipped today for Tuesday delivery. Had to get champagne instead of gray, but only $10 more for shipping than Amazon and getting it now.
Amazon usually better than this at getting items, but they haven't been competitive here.

Just got the good word:

Ordered 64GB Champagne on Dec 4.
Will arrive Monday Jan 23!!!!!!!
No word yet on dock ordered at same time.

Got my notification today as well. Ordered the 64 GB Gray on December 21st and set to get here Monday January 23rd. Original delivery estimate was Jan 25-Feb 6 (I think).

I know a lot of you have been waiting with a similar estimated date so good luck on getting it soon.

Amazon has the Grey 64GB in stock right now. I ordered one earlier this morning and just noticed they still have stock. The 32GB Grey was in stock this morning but is out now.

I think the latest order date that has had their order shipped was either the 19th or the 20th of December. Nowhere that I have read has had their order updated or shipped past those dates.

I ordered both my champagne Prime and dock on 11/22 from Amazon. I received my Prime on 12/30, which was moved up from 1/5. Still waiting on dock though.

Ordered gray Prime 32GB (12/19) and dock (12/20), received dock on 1/5 and tablet on 1/9.

Tablet returned after two days due to screen-related problem -- screen gradually dimmed to vertical lines/bands & became unresponsive after being off awhile then turned back on. Would recover after 30-60 secs w/o reboot, but was same issue in Honeycomb and after ICS update, probably GPU or other h/w. Have seen no other reports of this problem.

Reordered tablet yesterday (1/20) afternoon when Amazon said in stock on 1/22 with estimated del'y of 1/25, but got email same evening saying it already shipped for a 1/24 del'y.

Was debating on the TF700T but didn't want to wait another 3-5 months in US, then saw this today about it being released on 1/19 in Australia, if accurate:
FIRST REVIEW Android 4.0 Asus Transformer Prime Tablet - Smarthouse

I had a Pre order from Best buy cancelled then one from Amazon cancelled back in early Nov. Now I have another pre order at Amazon I placed on Dec 19th. For the last month I have had a estimated delivery date of Jan 25 To Feb 3rd. I just checked my pre order a few minutes ago and it has been changed to no date at all. Now it reads "We'll notify you via email when we have an estimated delivery date" WTF? The only reason I am holding out for Amazon is a have almost $100.00 off from all of my holiday purchases I made through Amazon. $514.00 for a 64GB Prime is a good deal right now but only if you can actually get it :-(

Alright, I started receiving nowinstock alerts and decided to finally, after more than a month (ordered Dec. 20th, cancelled Jan 24th), cancel my awaiting champagne dock order from Amazon. I don't know why they didn't receive any of the batches of champagne ones from ASUS, or if they did, I don't know why they wouldn't ship mine out, but I jumped on the newegg deal. Here's where I made my mistake: Minutes later, another alert came, this time for Tiger Direct. Now, I've never done business with them before, but it said 149 with "free shipping", which, I had to pay for shipping ($5) for Newegg, and I knew I had to act fast, so thinking I was being super quick and sly, I cancelled the newegg one minutes after ordering it, then ordered from tiger direct. Since I had to create an account and everything, I just sped through it as fast as possible. Little did I realize that Tiger Direct was charging me $8.67 sales tax on the thing, bringing my total to be MORE expensive than my Newegg total was. Boy did I feel stupid.

Of course, by this time Newegg's site now says "Auto Notify" instead of in stock, but I was even willing to cancel the tiger direct one and wait for a new alert for Newegg and save the extra money (yes, I'm that cheap and poor. Judge me all you want). However, and this is just my opinion, but, tiger direct's site is a little shady honestly. I searched all over as quickly as I could, trying to find where to cancel my order. It was absolutely and utterly ridiculous. I must have searched that site, and my confirmation e-mail, for 20 minutes just trying to cancel my damn order before they processed it and would no longer allow me to alter it (which, in the e-mail, they warned would come very quickly because it's "such a hot item"). Finally I saw that you have to call a damn telephone number (which doesn't lead you directly to the cancelling side of things, either, it's more a general number) to cancel your order. Totally ridiculous and unnecessary. Perhaps I'm naive or ignorant, but I have never come across a well-reputable site that makes it so extremely difficult to cancel your order, and the way they warned me of the speed I needed to do it with, I am pretty disappointed with them and probably won't care to work with them in the future.

With that said - *phew* that turned into a bit of a rant there, sorry guys! - my order was on the 24th, and it's scheduled for delivery today, the 26th! Now THAT I like. However, I think it's because it's coming either from FL, one state away from me, or from a facility directly within my own state, and has nothing really to do with the speed or efficiency of Tiger Direct. But, it's still nice, especially after the unpleasant feeling I was left with regarding trying to cancel my order. (So yes, in the end I gave up and decided to just bite the dust and spend the extra money).

As for Amazon, they did a great job with my tablet order way back when, but the champagne docks they just never got in stock again I guess. Hope my cancelled order can go to a nice home.

Unfortunately just had to send my Prime back to Amazon for an exchange. It had a particle under the screen which, while it sounds minor, was incredibly distracting while looking at a white screen. Other than that, I loved the thing and can't wait to get the replacement.

On the other hand, gotta give mad props to Amazon's return/exchange program. They have already shipped me another one with 1 day shipping which I will receive tomorrow and they paid for the return shipping of the defective model through UPS. Very impressed.

You guys are seriously still waiting on these? Order from Office Depot and be done with it...
