Just checking out the Amazon web site and they have the Verizon Wireless version of the Nexus listed at $699 that is $100 less then both the Razr and the Rezound. Just wondering if Google phones are usually cheaper then other phones.

Amazon also has the phone listed at $249.00 probably with a new 2 year contract.

When I was in the vzw corporate store yesterday, they had the both the rezound and razr for $649 plus tax.
I have noticed all the resellers....wirefly, amazon, etc have higher no contract prices and lower on contract prices.

usually amazon and that are around 100 more than verizon. Price most likely will change to be more when it actually launches.

No problem. I saw this earlier today and didn't think too much of it. I must say this is getting ridiculous. Not you, but this whole thing. People, myself included, are really, really pissed. The only thing I can think of is that Google wants Motorola to complete their production cycle of smart phones and tablets quickly so they can shut it down. That is why Moto is releasing so many devices so quickly. Google wants VZW and other carriers to sell them first so they're gone; however, Verizon wants subscribers. They know they will get them from the Nexus. It seems this is a calculated move by all parties involved. Just taking too long for my taste.

Google isn't going to shut moto down. That is the most idiotic thing I have heard.

The problem with this is that the Google/Motorola acquisition hasn't taken place yet, and Google has no involvement in Motorola Mobility's operations. Interesting theory, though.

Glad you think it is idiotic. I was referring to Motorola's handset division. Why wouldn't they shut it down?
