Hi everyone,

I am currently an iPhone 3GS user and am considering the switch to Android. One of the things that always bugged me about the iPhone is that many TV show websites blocks iPhone access and direct you to iTunes to purchase episodes. Is this something that is also common on the Android platform?

Basically, I would like to know if you can watch episodes from sites like Comedy Central, NBC, FOX, etc over 3G or LTE connection?

Also, can access Amazon Prime Instant Videos while on 3G or LTE?

Thanks for your help!

I've never tried any of the official sites, but stuff like MegaVideo works. I'd imagine that you could use an alternate browser in desktop mode to make it work, anyway.

I know the Kindle Fire has a nice Instant Video app for Amazon's stuff, but I don't know if anyone has gotten it working on other Android devices.

Amazon Prime instant videos would not launch for me, said that it needed flash installed (not yet compatible with ICS)

I watched an episode of The Cleveland Show a couple days ago on Fox.com. Stunning quality and absolutely no lag at all!

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Can you watch a 30 minute episode on Amazon without affecting battery life too much? I would like to catch up on shows during my commute.

Last request, can someone please try the Daily Show website to see if is blocked over LTE?

thanks for your help!
