Question Amazon Renewed Phone from China Thought Lost in Shipment arrived 4 months later

On June 5th I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra from Amazon Renewed from a seller from China that had a estimated maximum arrival time of 21 days and when 31 days after I placed the order it had not arrived so I requested and received a refund for a Never Arrived Order, then on October I found box on the kitchen table that had the seemed to come from China because it was all wrapped in plastic packaging tape. from a shipper called "Lastmile Parcel" and it had a Burgundy Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra just like what I ordered from Amazon Renewed. I came with a third party Fast Charger and a universal Travel Surge Protector. Do I now have to either return it to Amazon or have Amazon to charge me for it since I received it even though it came 4 month after ordering it? It actually arrived in the US in Durham NC on September 28th and then to IL and then back to Durham, back to IL, and then to GA where it stated 2 days, then back to Durham again and finally to Raleigh NC. Why did it make such a run around in the US before getting to me and not just arrive directly in Raleigh NC?
Actually in July it arrived in IL where it seemed to have gotten lost because after 10 days it was still listed as being in IL. It was from some shipper in China I guess that I never heard of and when I went to their Webpage it was all in Chinese Text so there was no way to ask them why the package was still in IL and not traveling through the US. When I contacted the vendor why I bought the Phone from they just said to wait a few days to see if it will arrive.Amazon Renewed Package.jpg

Technically, you don't have to do anything, since the issue was considered resolved by Amazon after such a long and unreasonable delay. If you really want to be conscientious about this, you could contact Amazon and ask what you should do, but that's up to you.

I would also be suspicious about how genuine this phone is, though. Cheap knockoff Samsung phones are very common from Chinese sellers -- check out the YouTuber SMOOREZ for a lot of interesting and fun videos showing how these knockoffs can lie about their specs: https://www.youtube.com/@SMOOREZ

It's definitely a legitimate Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra because I got it from Amazon Renewed as a Refurbished Excellent condition and not from E-bay or a regular Non Amazon Renewed supplier, plus About Phone Phone Verifies it's a genuine Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra and does Geekbench 6 and does AIDA64 and when I checked the the IMEI Number it reporged it as a Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra that was not black listed.
I was just wondering why it took so long to arrive and why it was hung up so long in Illinois.

Ok, it sounds like you did your due diligence -- but keep an eye out for any odd behavior or sluggishness.

All bets are off when it comes to items shipped directly from China. I've had items ordered through Amazon seemingly go missing in transit, and Amazon then offers to give me a refund. But at least a couple of times, the item eventually showed up on my doorstep.

Under about phone does it say official under phone status?

Is this an international version? Which model number

Why is it coming out of China?

Go to settings >about phone>software info> screenshot the last page

Yes it does say official under phone status information and it's Factory Unlocked as apposed to carrier unlocked because it has a U1 instead of just U at the end of the "Model Name" according to Google AI Overview the 1 at the end of the Model name means it's Factory Unlocked.
The Model name is SM-S908U1

When I placed the order for the phone just before placing it I noticed the same Model phone at a lower price but it had a up to 21 day arrival time so I figured it would be better to wait longer to get the phone if I saved some money since I still had a phone I could use until I got a new phone so the longer ship time must mean it was coming from outside the US .

Thanks
It looks legit but this was a Verizon variant phone flashed to the unlocked firmware

I circle in red on your screenshot that VZW at the end is a Verizon variant if it was truly unlocked u1 from Samsung it would say XAA, the other letters in front is your carrier.

How do you interpret the information in the service provider software version ?
What do the numbers and letter indicate about the phone?
Like I mentioned where I circled the last letter is where the device orginated and the letters in front is your carrier it sometimes can be 3 or 4 depending if you have a Esim you would see 4, just knowledge/Flashing Samsungs that I have accumulated over the years since having pretty much every Samsung starting with the S3 and Note 2 with some series elected not to get

What if it says CHA/CHA/CHA ? what carrier is that? Is there a way to tell if the phone is carrier locked from the provider software version screen ?
