Doesn't seem to be the case for the G4. Amazon G4 users on Reddit are reporting the Nougat update for their phones too. Looks like Moto released 7.0 for all G4s.

Nobody knows for sure. I don't think you can say the Amazon G5 will be treated differently when it comes to updates. Currently the Amazon G4 and regular G4 just received Nougat at the same time.
