I'm a life long Apple fanboy and will always be(because the tattoo won't come off). That being said I'm almost giddy waiting for my Nexus 1 to arrive on 7/12. Is there anything better than getting new toys?

That's OK we forgive you. My daughter is a closet fangirl. (Note lowercase) ;) She and her boyfriend are iPhreaks but when she got her iPhone 4 on the first day she was talking to me telling me how cool it was, I was on my DInc. She was walking her dog and said “Hold on, I have to pick up ….’s poo” Then the call went dead. I was just roaring with laughter because I could picture exactly what she did… she moved the phone from her Right hand to her Left hand. She still believes I hung up on her!

She then challenges me to a photo clarity contest. She sends me a photo, I send her a photo. I point out to her that her photo is 450 kb, and mine if 2 Mb, I was afraid I might accidently bring the AT&T network down with that much data!

Sounds a teensy bit childish on your part. You can have your opinion on the iPhone, but laughing at it is more than a little disrespectful on your part.

And if you want a real photo clarity contest you'd upload the pictures to a computer. ;)

So I had a little fun with someone who openly proclaims himself to be an Apple fanboy in an Android forum, and use my 21+ year old daughter, as an example as to why Android is better than iOS and take a mild jab at AT&T?s network and its quirks and this is a problem?

It may be a bit childish on my part, but a) it?s my (legally adult) child with whom I was having witty repartee; b) the jabs were about known and documented defects with the hardware; c) she still thinks I hung up on her despite the fact it has happened to her with others including her Mother. (Personally, I think this is the funniest part.)

Did I miss something in the humor here?

Thanks Debbie.

Personally, I think what you did was funny. Wish my parents knew how to even turn on a computer, nonetheless get a Droid Incredible.

~sigh~

everyone be nice. Everyone behave. Everyone act mature.

And by 'everyone' I mean the troublemaker.

Welcome... The Nexus One is a sweet device.
Some apps I recommend are:

ASTRO File Manager
Fancy Widget
Handcent SMS
Twidroyd (if you use Twitter)

So i've had my N1 for 4 days now. Froyo is okay, but I prefer IOS4 in most ways. That being said, I will probably be keeping the N1 and selling my 3GS because T-mobile has better plans.
