An icon of headphone has appeared on my screen. Can't use phone except on speaker now

I can place calls but the only way to hear them is by using it on speaker.

Try plugging a headphone in a few times. If that doesn't fixz it, you need a new headphone jack (or a new motherboard - hope it's the jack).

Use that to bypass the headphone thing.
But, as stated, there is probably a problem with your jack.
Try and blow it out with air before you actually stick anything in there.
Use a light and maybe a needle or something and take out any debris.

Don't bend, puncture, put too much pressure on anything.
