And on a positive note...

My first one had screen flicker, second one had really bad screen lift that made a super hard click, third one here has slight screen lift and screen flicker. I called them and they said screen flicker is a hardware issue and to get it replaced, but we also discussed the place that's sending them to me to be a bad batch and will keep in contact with the guy to try and resolve this issue as he is going to talk to his supervisor. This sucks :l All of these are SSN's starting with C60K.

Bought my Nexus directly from Google about 2 months ago and besides a couple of os freezes, I've had zero issues. I use it daily for work and pleasure. I also have an iPad for work but it takes a back seat because I prefer the Nexus form factor.

i've had my nexus 7 since the first week of august. I've had no problems at all. it's randomly shut down 2 or 3 times in the 2 months i've had it. i chalk it up to hardware just being hardware.

As far as usage, i use it about an hour or so every day. and often, i like to play a movie on it while i go to bed and fall asleep. my 2 year old son uses it about as often as i do, if not more. he loves playing educational apps on this tablet, and this tablet is great for that. i've got 2 cases for it, the main one i use is the blurex case. does a great job protecting it.

I love my Nexus 7 but I had to replace my first due to a really subpar screen. This one the screen is uniform but the left is the typical squishy and creaky as others have mentioned.

Honestly I just live with it. I smush it down daily and it helps but aside from that it doesn't effect its usability. This thing is my go to device at home for everything but actual work.

Pushing it down repeatedly will eventually cause the display to crack.

I haven't had any problems at all with mine. Bought it towards the end of July and I didn't have screen lift, and haven't had any other problems either. I really enjoy this tablet
