And SCRATCH goes the screen...

Verizon swapped out my phone today. New phone had a protector before I walked out the door. Did it right this time. FYI- whatever screen protector they use is great. You can hardly tell it is there and it's very smooth.

So they hook you up without a fuss?

only time I have ever scratched a screen was walking by a piece of jagged metal from a car in my garage and it slicing through my cargo pants, my DX rubber case and put a little knick on the side of the screen.....would have been my leg sliced open if the phone was not in my pocket so I didnt mind the scratch.

I turned down the verizon screen protectors at the store, sales guy gasped and looked at me like I just said I carry my phone around in a bag of rocks without a screen protector

Yup and everyone made fun of me in my thread about walking out of the store with a scratch on mine. Im getting a replacement phone. it will be here tomorrow. I ordered Amazon.com: SPIGEN SGP Samsung Galaxy S3 Steinheil Ultra Nano (3-PACK) Screen Protector Cover Film for ALL 3G/LTE Models [CLEAR]: Cell Phones & Accessories
last week cause they did away with some other model. and now they show a curved one on preorder? doesnt matter to me cause i have a otter box commuter which protects the edges of the phone where the protector doesn't reach. and i get full body protection. Sad to drop a new phone and have chunks taken out of it. Full protection is the way to go.

I ordered the Nano before I got the phone and put it on the phone as soon as it arrived. Can't even tell it's on the phone, and it was designed for the curved glass on the S3.

Disagree about sprints customer service sucking. Guess it depends on your personal experience. I've had nothing but great experiences since going with sprint from T-mobile 2 years ago.

I got mine from Best Buy. The dept manager that waited on me highly reccomended the Zagg (i think) HD screen protector. I told him "you put it on for me, and you have a sale." I've ruined so many screen protectors in my blackberry days that I gave up putting those damn things on.

He said no problem and put it on for me. Honestly, I can hardly tell it's there. It has a very nice feel to it. And the cool part is he said they are warrantied for life! If they tear or scratch, you mail it into the company and they'll send you another one. hmmm...

I have to laugh...my phone is only 5 days old. The first 5 days I babied it becuase I have no body protection, but on Saturday I put it in my wifes purse. OK, that was a bad-bad idea. A day later I noticed a nice little scratch on the screen... It's fairly deep but not all that long.

Anyhow, my last phones have made it 10-12 months with no scratches, so what are the odds of that! Ugg.

My GS2 had gorilla glass and there were no deep scratches, so this phone must have been in just the right place at the wrong time. Technically I could swich it out since I'm still under the 15 day period, but what's the point... I'd probably drop the new one on the way out of the store, haha.

Life lesson: your wife's purse is an iron maiden of keys, hairbrushes, makeup cases, loose change, gravel, nail files, zippers, and carbide tipped drillbits (ok maybe thats just my wife...)

Never ever trust your phone in there! I would sooner carry my OWN purse to put the phone in, than risking it in hers!

+1 for the Steinheill Crystal screen protectors. I've been sporting one on my 4S since I got it and you can't really tell the difference between glass and the protector.

Yeah, it's not bad...I don't really like screen protectors. BUT! I was wondering about this one.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Screen Protector Steinheil Curved Crystal - GALAXY S3 - Samsung - Cell Phones

I have thier Nano series for my GS3 and I love it! Problem with this is that delivery is in 1-2 weeks so I couldn't wait. Bought pack of 3 from amazon for $14. No other SP fits around the curves YET, but this company seems to make great products. When the curve is in mass production I will probably get one. Also thinking about just Ghost Armoring the front (kiosk at the mall). Anyone ever tried one of those? Thoughts?
