Since just about August 5th/6th, the Note 9 Forum has grown REALLY quiet - I keep checking back to see what's going on, but I imagine like a lot of other folks (could be wrong), everyone is over on the Note 20/Note 20 Ultra Forum, reading stuff there! That's where I've been spending a TON of time... because - I gave in and ordered a Black, 512GB Note 20 Ultra. Samsung was offering $550 for my Note 9 plus another $150 in Accessory Credits... couldn't pass it up after skipping the Note 10 and the S20! I've had my Note 9 since "Intro Day", 8/9/18 I think? Should have my "20" Ultra by 8/21 with a pair of white Galaxy Buds Live for the $150 "Acc Credit" Cash (+$19)

I Always check the note 9 threads , that phone will Always be one of best phones if not best phones i owned.

I think that for most who have used the Notes for some time, the 'deal' coming through Sammy is quite attractive. Being a Note 9 aficionado, I've thought about jumping to the Note 20 Ultra and I could easily do it, but I'm not that much enjoying Sammy as a company due to the way they handle their customer service. In my opinion, they're worse than Comcast and that's saying a lot. I think their moving to three year's of OS Updates is a fine move, advocated here on this very forum, for a long time. Honestly, they should have included the Note 9 in this move as both the hardware and software can handle another year! My Note 9 is running beautifully, has everything I need or use in a phone! Some folks here know I'm not a jumper, and have no problems with those that jump every six months from an S to a Note and visa versa. Its always their money, so be it. Maybe in a year, I'll move to a Note 21, go to a Pixel or head to iOS, OMG. In the meantime, I'll rock the Note 9 under VZ extended warranty, enjoy the almost always used 3.5mm Jack, if need be, have a new factory battery installed. For the folks who have moved to the 20 Ultra, enjoy your new ride and have fun!

I only view recent posts when I come to the forums, I never look into individual forums except on the rare occasion I ask something.

Personally still using the Note 8 and Note 9, I won't upgrade right now because of the mess COVID-19 caused.

I agree with everything you say about the Note 9 and have had and used mine exclusively, as I said in my OP, since release day 8/9/18... that's 2 years, not 6 months! I figured I was due...

I finally gave my Note 9 to its new owner yesterday. I'm sticking with my Note 10 Plus until the Note 21 Ultra comes out. Hopefully I'll like THAT. I won't check Note 9 threads anymore.

Later... enjoy the new Toy when it comes! Maybe catch you over there on the Note 20/Note 20 Ultra Forum!

The deals being offered, even by carriers are hard to pass up on the N20 and Ultra. I didn't preorder, but will look at some further deals later since my Note 9 is paid off and I have more options.

I don't think jumping every phone is worth it with the incremental updates now. But every 2 phones can be worth it and I see that in the 20 Ultra from the 9.

That was my thought Deb... "Two Years" was a long time to remain patient... even at my age!!! (70)

I'll be sending my Note 9 back, as part of my trade in with Samsung for the Note 20 Ultra - it's a wonderful phone.

See you on the other side.

Note 9 was great for awhile, but I've been having horrible battery life issues (20% per hour drain and can't find out why) for the last 2 months.

Just pulled the trigger on the Note 20 Ultra 512gb as it was a no brainier with the $550 trade in and my monthly payment going down $20/month.

Getting it next week. Will miss the headphone jack as i have some good wired headphones ( V Moda and Klipsch) but i did get the AKG wireless headphones with my Note 9 pre-order and may get the new buds live with my Note 20 pre-sale credit.

Looking forward to the better camera and bigger battery!
