The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus ;)

Same size, Same weight, Same (roughly) Screen, Same Android.

The Samsung 16GB can be had for same price as the Nexus 8GB if you look around.

The BIG one. The Samsung has a SDcard slot.

Anyone agree?

Not for me.... Vanilla Android, AOSP support, easy unlocking, factory images for restoring, and a huge and growing development community for all nexus devices. Just my priorities, yours may differ. :)

What he said.
Vanilla Android here too.
And very importantly IPS vs AMOLED.
Would NOT touch Samsung.

That tablet doesn't even bruise the Nexus 7, let alone kill it. Is that the table that just got ICS?

I'm all for vanilla Android, and the latest updates.

I don't agree (with the OP). Already checked out the Sammy offerings. thanks, but no thanks.

I literally spit out my coffee (just like in the movies) as I burst out laughing reading the title of this thread. Seriously Inferior screen, inferior CPU/GPU, weighs more, smaller battery and still on Ice Cream Sandwich and God knows if it will ever even get Jelly Bean. Lol, sir, lol. I need a good laugh now and again.

So, I'm assuming the original poster is joking, right?

I don't think there will be a nexus killer. There is too great of a following in my opinion for the vanilla android and the things you can do with it.

Laughing is good. I am half joking.
It is slightly humerus how excited people are about this device from Google that doesn't bring anything to the table except a low retail price.

You are right. It weighs 5 grams more.
I'm not sure how much more time you'll get from 300mah with a slightly higher res. screen and the Tegra 3 on the Nexus. It's going to be pretty close.
Exynos 4210 and Mali-400 with 1GB RAM is no slouch.

Might want to double check the specs to refresh your memory.

Yeah, they bring nothing to the table other than a quad core gaming beast with a 720p HD screen and stock Android, regarded by the review community to be the best 7 inch tablet at ANY price. Yep, nothing. The Samsung Galaxy 7+ is a significantly worse device in every single aspect aside from it's SD slot and the N7 has USB OTG. I can't image why you would suggest such an inferior device as a "Nexus Killer" unless you work for Samsung, or bought a SG7+ and are trying to justify your purchase.

I'm well aware of the specs. They're not close at all.

If an SD slot is what you care about, enjoy having nearly everything else sub-par in exchange.

No way the 7+ is better then the Nexus 7.

I will be rocking my N7 for at least 2-3 updates while the 7+ might see one.

Pure Android without the need to root. USB OTG. Nuff said.
