Same here. The Incredible was so easy to root and install ROMs. Everyone says the S3 is too, but it's so different I'm a little scared to screw it up.

Truth is, there really isn't that much of a difference at all. Google Now is pretty neat, even useful at times...but it's more or less a novelty and pretty much the only major change I even notice, outside of minor things here and there.

Yep...A girl I work with has it on her phone, and other than Google Now and some Cloud setting, there's really no difference with TW set on top of it. She's on Sprint. If I was running AOSP ROM's, I'd want it though. Instead, I just use Nova Prime on an already smokin' phone and it keeps me happy. I've never had a phone this long, unrooted and ROM'd.

Yep I bookmarked it. I actually have somewhere near 10 threads here and on XDA bookmarked on how the root this phone. Maybe that's the problem there are too many ways or routes to root! In fact I just convinced myself that is why I have not taken the plunge - too many routes to root (and ROM).

I felt the same way... just too many ways to root and rom. But I went for it today and it is completely worth it. I used method 2 in the sticky and loaded CleanRom 5.0

Now I wish I didn't wait so long for tthe official update from verizon.

I could not disagree more!! Every fiber in my body says that JB will bring world peace, stop global hunger and unite mankind like never before.
At the moment my S3 with ICS is virtually useless, if JB does not come soon I will throw the phone away, sue Verizon and shut my company down just to spite Verizon (since they are our carrier of choice). :p
