Hi,
I have an Easytone 8.1 Android Box connected by HDMI to a Denon x2000 AVR. My issue is that the voices in all apps comes through all 3 front speakers vs just the center channel. It’s like it’s in stereo. It says 5.1 on the movies I'm playing. When I switch to my cable box the sound is perfect. Not sure what to try.
Thanks in advance!

5.1 means 5 high frequency channels and 1 low frequency (woofer) channel. That's the sound you're feeding the box and that's "perfect" - hearing 5.1 audio out of only the center channel means that you have something in the cable box that's badly designed (or you have the settings to "mono"). Change the cable box to stereo or, if there's no such setting, complain to your cable company. (You're getting left front+left rear on the left speaker, right front+right rear on the right speaker and, since bass is non-directional, center on the center speaker.)

We hear in stereo, not mono, so "perfect" is as stereo as can be - rear, middle and near, left, center and right. It's called surround sound, just like reality.

Thanks for your reply. Let me clarify. The cable box is working correctly in that the voices are only coming out of the center channel as they should be. I was using that as an example of the way the Android box should be working.
It's the Android box where the voices are playing out of the center, front left and front right speakers simultaneously. That shouldn't be happening, but I cannot seem to find a fix. Hence my post. Any idea what I might be able to try?
Thanks!!
