I'm going to wait for the stable version. In a Brazilian community that I follow many members already installed the Open Beta and all of them are quite happy, no issues so far.

Still not sure what the difference between open beta and dp5 are?
Also, if I install the open beta or dp5 will I have to wipe device after official is released?

Edit. Yes a full wipe is needed after official release .

The Open Beta is more stable and bug free than any DP and you only need to download the zip file, save and install as a local source from the system update setting. For the DP you need to join OnePlus Beta program and, in most cases, wipe your data in the process.

About your second question, you don't need to wipe your data to install the open beta but there's a chance you will need a factory reset to install the future stable version. Not sure about this last part though and I've seen conflicting information.

Thanks. Yes that's what I thought, wiping clean when Android 10 is official, thanks.

Would the open beta change my build number ? I changed it to GM57BA, it was AA on my GM1900.

I'll be honest with you, when I flashed BA and then Android 10 over the weekend I was a bit tips and don't remember if it changed BA back to AA or if it was user error.

Because nearly every app is using the "Google Play Services". It's a bit like saying "it's Android's fault" ...

It won't be. In essence if you hide the notch and then upgrade to Andoid 10 beta you'll never be able to get notch back
