On the phone no option, if your router has both 2.4 and 5 choose to connect to 5 on your wifi list , I label in my router 2.4mustang 5mustang to distinguish

As said, connect to the 5g SSID on your router which will elevate it to the top of your recently connected list. Then it should be the first one to connect to when you're within range. If you want to upgrade your router, they now make ones that combine 2.4g and 5g in one SSID and let the router determine which frequency to assign the device based on signal strength and speed.
