Maybe the beta approval guy is sleeping.

It will happen when it happens. There isn't anything you can do to speed it up. Google minutes aren't user minutes.

If you’re on the gboard beta program, has any one here gotten the default dynamic theming yet to work? It’s supposed to be rolling out now… but I haven’t gotten it yet.

Are there any problems with the beta gboard? I thought I recall someone saying they had issues and had trouble getting rid of it. Would be nice to have the material you themeing

As far as keyboard functions go I haven't had any issues either with the public or beta versions. It works just fine.
As far as Material You goes that really isn't an important feature to me now that I was able to get rid of the atrocious pink color that was forced on my because of the wallpaper I have.

whoa. Nice Nice. I might have to leave the beta program, re-enter it, just to see if I can get that settings. Thanks! Looks good to me, that's for sure! I can't wait for that in my GBoard... considering how often we all actually use our keyboards on the phones these days. haha

Yeah, me either. I tried to split screen the calculator and Google Maps the other day and phone said calculator not available in split screen mode. I hope Google fixes this soon because I LOVE using split screen mode for all of my apps. You get the advantage of full interface controls of the app just miniaturized vs picture in picture mode.

Yeah, trust me, I hear ya! Hopefully Google will fix that soon! Also update: I left the GBoard beta program, un-installed the updates, then re-joined the beta program, still no dice for me unfortunately . I don't have Material You theming yet. :'(

Weird overnight happenings on my 4A. I have the Play store set to update manually, not automatically. Well during the night last night that changed while my phone was in sleep mode and all the apps in my update queue updated. I know most people keep all their apps updated all the time but I prefer to only update apps I actually use. In any case I checked the settings and it was set to auto update which is not where I had it set.
Good Monday morning!

I should mention this happened once before pre-beta about a year ago on my pixel 2 actually.
EDIT: Aha! When I reboot my Pixel it defaults back to the auto update setting in the app store. Nice.

I'm wondering if the problem is from using a third party launcher. I'm going back to the OEM launcher as there are much less issues anyway.

EDIT: yeah, third-party launcher issue. Back on the pixel launcher and everything's fine.
If I recall correctly I believe kizzy posted that she had to do a factory reset due to third party launcher issue on the beta. Don't need that trouble, haha.
