Reported a new bug this morning involving my Pixel Buds 2. If I'm listening to something, and long press to summon the assistant, it doesn't work. I get the signal that it's going to summon GA, but then it goes back to playing whatever I was listening to. I actually have to close out of whichever application (Google podcasts, or YouTube music) I'm listening to in order to get the long press to work again.
To test your issue I took out my Pixel Buds 2 and replicated your issue. It seemed to be there. I then went in and in Bluetooth had it forget the Buds. I reset my Buds and went through the setup process. Now the Buds are working as it should when playing a media and long pressing for Assistant. I suggest you give that a try.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but beta-4 doesn't seem like the Google search bar would just shift it down towards the bottom of the screen more so than in any other beta?

I tried it, but I'm still getting the problem. I forgot the buds on my phone, and then did a reset of the buds. Is that what you did? Did you restart your phone after forgetting the buds. Sure would love to be rid of this bug.

Well, yet another bug report / Android OS observation that I'm sure we've all noticed an Android 12 beta program. Check it out already submitted it...

I didn't restart my phone. You might that.

I think beta 3 had fewer issues for me. Beta 4 has messed up some things.
I'll probably do a factory reset later this evening either that or go back to an iphone, I'd rather have a root canal than do either one, haha.

No battery % on the always on display?

It depends on which window transition speed your using. If you use .5X like a lot of us are used to using, this setting still for some reason breaks the always on locks screen. If you keep it at either 1X or all animations off, then everything is fine.

EDIT: Yeah it was just me. I do see what you're referring to now. I'm pretty sure I've noticed that in other betas as well.

Original:
I just probably haven't had enough coffee yet...I'm not seeing an alarm on either of your screen shots, just calendar notifications. To be clear, mine is a clock alarm, not calendar. But, the one that is showing in my top bar is within a two hour window. I'll have to wait and see after this one triggers if it stays as I too have a recurring 445am alarm.
That has been that way for me on every 12 beta. Almost all notification bar icons only appear with a swipe down, otherwise I don't see them. I hope that's not the way Google intends this to work in Android 12 when it's final.

Tried that, but still having the issue. I guess I could try a factory reset, too....ugh.
Ok, I think I've found a workaround. If I'm listening to music when I hear a notification, I can tap on the bud to pause my audio. I then tap, then tap once more, and it will read my notifications. After they are done I still have to go back to my phone to resume my audio. Not perfect, but a start. I'm going to play around with it a bit to be sure this workaround works, and will then update my bug report.

At least you won't have do the "ugh" thingy with your phone.

Well I decided to do the factory reset because I was just having too many problems since beta 4. So setting the phone back up and notice I now have the dynamic keyboard, yay! Bonus for my troubles.

I have debated a factory reset and get out of 12 beta a few times, but think I'll stick with it until the public release.

A bit drastic for me to get the keyboard, but oh so tempting. I wonder why we weren't getting it?

Yeh, while it is pretty sweet , def not sweet enough to hassle thru a factory reset.
I knew I had it tho as soon as I saw it. Was set as default. I do like it a lot.
Also the reset fixed my assistant issues, so def worth it to me.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to consider the reset this weekend for my assistant woes with my Buds.

Also, maybe it's just me, but does battery life seem better in beta 4?

Every new beta I get terrible drain. I force stop android webview and reboot and it seems to help. Just had to do that as my battery drain was terrible again. Am currently charging my phone again and will see how it does after its charge. I usually get well over a day on battery with 6 hours SoT. I got just 12 hours with 48% battery and only 2 and a bit hours SoT. It was well below my usual level. After this webview reset I will see how it does.
