Android 13 Beta 3

I rotate through various third-party launchers and a couple of them don't have that gesture bar. I like that. If it was only optional then everyone would be happy.

The option to keep or remove would be nice.

Mine is taking a very long time. I am just going to let it finish. How long did yours take?

All these updates take much longer than in the past. But, while it's going on, you can use your phone like normal. I think mine took a good half hour.

I don't think it's taking any longer than any other update I've experienced with my Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 4a. It does take a while. Like you wrote the phone is still usable. It's the Google reality.

I'm hoping my wifi issues are resolved now. Will see later when I jump to different wifi locations.

I switched back to the pixel launcher yesterday and noticed the gesture bar was gone because the search bar took its place. But this morning the gesture bar is back below the search bar. Weird it was gone for a day and then reappeared.

Idle battery drain seems to be better on my P6 after the update.

Seems to be...

I hope so too. My update never finished yesterday. I notified Google with feedback app. It has been spinning since 6PM yesterday.

Just now I turned off wifi and then the phone. Turned the phone back on and it continued the update from LTE. Optimizing step now. Looks like it will complete.

I am blaming WiFi somehow.

"Android 13 Easter egg shows Google's fascination with cats taken to its extreme."

These gave me flashbacks of the early 70s. I found the cat one for our forum cat people.

Here's a couple more. I'll let you all find the rest (there are more cat ones). My finger is tired.

It is now resolved.

The latest update bricked my 6 pro. Now it's stuck in a bootloop. Keeps turning on then powering off. Wish I wouldn't have bothered installing it. Think I'm done with Google and their pixels. Has not been a pleasant experience for me.

Just a picture showing that my phone is bricked and telling me to factory reset.20220703_121846.jpg

I had been blaming A13B3 for my WiFi problem. I was wrong. It was a setting on my router. Everything is blazing fast now. Sorry Google.
