I have an inexpensive Android 13 tablet used mostly for web, mail, and a few other low-end things when away from home. The clock is set to the correct time and displays correctly.

When the unit is shut off and charging I get a battery icon and it shows the percentage on the battery.

It also has a set of digits above that that appears to be a 24 hr clock but it is not the correct time. Is this a clock or something else.

For example, today I plugged it in to charge and the digits said "13:11" This can change of course, but if it is a clock, how do I fix the digits to be correct? If not a clock, what is it?

Thanks

Welcome to Android Central forums.

Just a few questions to help us.

How far off is it from the time? For instance, if the time is only off by the hours, and the minutes are correct it could be seeing a different time zone. If just the minutes are off it could just be a product of the tab not being able to sync while it's off charging.

You say it's a cheap tab, can you give us the make and model of the device? The build number or a listing for the unit might work for us too if you don't know the other. With this information we can search the web for other reports or questions about this that might yield some answers.

Is this tab new to you? Has it always done this? Did this just start recently?

At the end of the day, it is a cheap tab, does it work? If you never find out what this clock/timer thing is, are you really going to be disappointed? Just something to think about.

Let us know what you find and we'll offer more advice.
