The issue started a few days ago on my ROG Phone 5. All apps including Settings > Storage that requires the file/directory selection to pop up either gives an error or does nothing.
I am using File Manager (ASUS pre-installed), Files (Marc) and X-plore (preferred).
Example would be I can't attach any files in Gmail or upload any documents in Drive. Apps that access photos and videos seem un-affected, e.g. using Lens to select photos or viewing photos and videos via Photos (Google).
So pretty much any app that allows you to select or navigate to a directory won't work and the culprit I think is that somehow, the system file manager somwhow is either bugged out or un-installed. I tried shutting down the phone and restartinf the phone, changing special access settings, clearing settings and cahe in the apps but nothing.
Your help would he greatly appreciated!
