I haven't joined a beta for a mobile OS in years. How are the Pixel betas normally? I probably won't join it yet but maybe a little later on as it gets to be a bit more stable.

The last few have been fairly stable, at least around Beta 2. I usually join in Beta 2 or 3 and don't remember any major issues with the previous two beta programs

After installing it and playing with it a little bit, I can say that it is working fine. It is a little sluggish from time to time. Also, I noticed heat build up but that could be associated with the new operating system being installed. I'll give it a few days.

Any outstanding feature or functionally addition or improvement? I hope Google brings in Samsung's multitasking ability to their Fold and pro devices.

Not much new in 14. Pretty tame. All my apps work fine but not to surprised since little seems to have been added. A very Ho Hum sort of update for an annual. Maybe something interesting to come yet. Had to watch a YouTube vid on it to see what had actually changed, certainly not at all obvious.

Only issue I've found so far is the fingerprint reader, on first press, will change over to the pin code instantly. Doesn't happen all the time but like 1 out of 5 times.

YouMail not working. Downloaded and enjoying the new beta for 14 but you mail is no longer functioning. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, force stopped and cleared the caches and storage and it still will not work. Any thoughts?

Ok, next issue I'm having is phone calls won't go to my pixel buds. I can use the buds when watching Instagram, Snapchat or YouTube. But when a call comes in it's completely mute.

Don't waste your time on this Beta 1, I see nothing different at all compared to Android 13 except for some random crashes

One of the videos I watched on YouTube mentioned this as an issue that would be fixed later.

I am getting bad internet, sometimes no internet, delayed SMS messages. I live in Dubai though so y'all may or may not face this issue. I even had a friend tell me that she called and my phone was switched off.

EDIT: I always had my network set to LTE as 5G doesn't work on the Pixel phones in Dubai since they don't sell these devices here. I just tried setting the connection preference to 5G and I was surprised I got connected to 5G! Did a speedtest online and got 930MBPS! WOW! I'll keep monitoring this connectivity issue now that I have switched to 5G.

Just enrolled in beta program. Lets see what's new. From reading about 14 the biggest feature seems to be the new back behavior which needs app changes, right?
