Android 14 beta Getting Closer /Members App Update /Beta Updates Available

The 2nd update has fixed my battery drain problems along with a screen blackout problem when rotating the phone after closing media apps.

This is as close to ready as possible. Now I need Goodlock to get the rest of the way back to normal.

Yeah, I didn't think about good lock before jumping in lol. At least I was right about it being a mistake.

The weird thing is some modules are working fine.

Haven't had any actual issues though, just stuff that isn't quite finished (hopefully) like dark mode not working quite right and themes and stuff being broken. All stuff you'd expect with a beta. Seems solid.

Anyone having problems with beta 1 or 2. I would recommend clearing cache on phone. I did that last night and in 8 hours I lost 3% battery while phone sat overnight. Prior to cache wipe I could loss 6 to 10% with beta update.

Only issue I've had is the Google Pay not working because of the beta software but I knew this going in, had to try it though

Had to roll back. Off to Canada on Thursday for 3 weeks. Cant really afford any hiccups with my daily device.

It may just be me but has anyone noticed that many apps don't fall into deep sleep under battery settings.

I have a lot of apps probably over 120 and in Android 13 those apps fell under one of the sleeping categories. Not the same on Android 14. This lent to the battery life in Android 13 but seems not to be need for Android 14.

Ahh haven't run into that but like anything clear apps data then force stop the dialer and Google app

The only really noticeable change for me is that they centred the play/pause button on the media playback notification. It's a good thing.
