Android 2.1 Leak

Hey if the 2.1 leak is for the Hero and the Eris and the Hero are the kind of the same phone can we download the leak for the Hero or do we have to wait for the Eris leak (or official release)?

I'm far from an expert but after much experience with other platforms I find it usually best to wait for the official release from HTC or Verizon. At least if the official release bricks your phone, your covered.

No. Anything that is not specific for the Eris has a very good possibility of bricking your phone. This is one of those things. In any case, you can't load anything that's not from Verizon until the Eris gets rooted.
