This is becoming ridiculous. I got this particular android phone because it was released across 3 (at least) carriers, so there should be some leverage towards updates. Instead, this galaxy S is mired in total software anarchy with nothing but the safety net from end-users like the ones on this forum.
I'm incredibly disappointed in the bluetooth, the total lack of central messaging (which the storm 1 did at launch), trialware, bloatware, adware... holy crap is this what "smartphones" are becoming??
I want to nuke this whole software package from orbit and put on what I want, like we could do with the Storm 1.
Dude, I've had the Storm1 for two yrs and couldn't wait to get an Android phone. Being on VZW I chose FASN8 for the HW, screen and rootability.
My bluetooth has worked fine so far with my Motorola T505 hands free car speaker. Your warez *****ing, though, is totally justified but personally I didn't care too much about that stuff. Like I said, I got the phone for the HW cuz the SW is correctable, the HW is not, know what I mean? Sure the Bing thing is a PITA and wrong and so corporate that it makes you want to burn down buildings but so what? The community guyz solved that in a few hours and THAT'S what Android is all about. It is what it is. 'sides, how many truly open and free and unfettered Google phones are there? Not too many.
In any case, the point I wanted to make is Android is quite a bit different from BB and as such you'll find that Android is awesome but that doesn't mean BB doesn't do some things better like central msging. After all, BB is designed for business functionality.
Give it some more time to get the know Android and what you've got, which is a pretty amazing and powerful device. I'm just starting to get into the Tasker app which is just crazy awesome and unbelievable.
I mean c'mon, the Storm was practically legacy as soon as it hit the streets. The AppWorld market or whatever its called (dont remember anymore) is embarrassing. And I had to get an app to reboot it every night because the memory management is so poor.
All that being said, it would be nice to get the freaking Froyo already.

Its easy to be impatient - guilty as charged here.
