No problem... Just reflash an older version with Odin and update via OTA.

I was not rooted. Verizon sent a replacement phone. Just got it.

I think it happened to me too. This evening, my phone just turned completely off for no reason. The only way I could get it back on, was to do a battery pull (ZeroLemon extended). Did it a few more times over the next couple of hours. I happened to check for an update, it downloaded, and now I can only get to the Samsung Logo screen. Doesn't charge or anything and I've tried my stock battery too. Grrrrrr. If I have to get another from Verizon, it would be my 3rd.

I updated the replacement phone yesterday from v4.1.2 to v4.3. So far all is well.

I've had this happen to me before with my S3 and here is how I was able to get my phone back from the brink. I pulled the battery out of my phone for a few seconds and put it back in. Then I restarted my phone in recovery mode and did a factory reset as well as clearing out the caches on my phone. After I did that, I went ahead and rebooted the phone. My phone came back after doing that. Of course, I had to put my programs back on my phone but that's a small price to pay for getting your phone back from the brink of being bricked.

I hope that this little tidbit of information helps someone out who's having this same problem.

Cindy
