Hey, I have a kyocera hydro wave phone with Android 5.1. Does anyone know how to cast or mirror my phone screen to a Samsung smart TV?

Does your phone have Screen Mirroring capabilities? If so there should be a Screen Mirroring option or a Miracast one somewhere. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any reference to the Hydro Wave being Miracast-capable, so you might not have that possibility from your device.

If that's the case, you can still mirror the screen using the Chromecast app. The issue with this is that, of course, you'd need to have a Chromecast connected to your TV and wouldn't be streaming directly to your TV.

I do it with a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter and it works great with Android. I just select "Cast Screen" from my quick settings and hit connect. I had the adapter before I switched I switched back to Android and was surprised at how easy it was to get working.

This method works great if your TV doesn't have Miracasting built in.

Yeah, but that would work IF your device supports Miracast/AllShare. In this case, I'm not sure the device even supports that (which is why the OP might be missing the Cast Screen option).

Absolutely, if the device doesn't have that baked in, they are out of luck. If that's the case Chromecast should be a better option. I confess to not knowing anything at all about Chromecast. I just returned to Android and I'm still catching up.

If the device supports Miracast then the MS Wireless Display Adapter is a good (but certainly not the only) way to do it.
