Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition (24.11.18)

Re: 6.0 OTA seems to be happening now

I'm registered for soak testing and got the update (apps optimizing at the moment) but not sure if it's a soak or final release.

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition

Tips for 6.0:

Swipe down and hold your finger on the gear icon. It'll add a new menu option to Settings called "System UI Tuner" which lets you add battery % and other things.

If you want to use Ambient Display (instead of Moto Display) go into Settings > Apps and Disable the "Moto Display" app. Ambient Display will now be an option under Settings > Display

Drive Mode is now under Moto app under "Voice" > "Talk to Me"

The Google Now launcher is still only four icons wide

No camera2 api

Drive Mode still auto-detects when you're driving. Crisis averted.

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition

Can someone tell me if this included updates to the base band and/or kernel. I do not have the phone so i'm not familiar with the current versions, but if someone could let me know if they changed that would be great!

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition

Good to see the OTA flowing out it seems. I have been rocking the official 6.0 build for several weeks now and it's pretty darn awesome; much better then 5.1.1 but there are still several Google related issues that have carried over from Lollipop. It has, however, been very stable.I doubt I can say much more then that for various reasons of a legal variety until Moto confirms this is a full roll out.

For those getting the OTA, what is the system version going out? I'm curious to see which one is the 'official' build.

Edit: never mind, just saw the pic above with the version number.

When I held my finger on the gear icon all it did was spin, but no system UI tuner was added to settings that I can see?

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition

Anyone else using nova? My gesture to swipe down to expand notification is like sarcastically slow... Very strange as it was working fine on lollipop

Re: Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition

Just pulled the update on sprint this is not a soak

There seem to be conflicting reports. Someone may have pulled the trigger too early for some IMEI's since some people who never got the invitation are getting it.
