Only Samsung employees knows the answer. It would be crazy for them not to update the Galaxy View since it wasn't cheap at launch and it hasn't had a major software update. I could see marshmallow being the last update released for the Galaxy View. I wouldn't say because of the chipset it's using, since Samsung smartphones have the same chipset with a marshmallow update. It's because of the lack of development and popularity.

Why have you decided to stick with the Samsung Galaxy View.

I'm sticking with it because I'm 70 years old and retired. O, and by the way, I still have one of my other Galaxy tablets.

One can only hope that Samsung and AT&T continue to support the View! It is a great multimedia device. I have hung on a hook in my garage so I could watch football on Sundays while working in the garage. My son uses it all of the time to watch movies, TV programs and YouTube videos when the other TVs in the house are being used. It has been great for what we use it for!
