AC Question

After an update on my galaxy S5 to android 6, I have to use password first then the finger scan will work afterwards on every unlock .
If you restart your phone, password is the only way to unlock it even though you activated finger scan in the settings.
According to the idiots at Samsung support, this is the new security feature they have changed and cannot be override.
I really hate Samsung, I will not be purchasing another Samsung phone.

That's true of iPhones too. I can't say that I have any objection myself, especially considering the infrequency of restarting.

What's the point of having a finger scan if you can't use it on startup? How is a pasword more secure than a finger scan?
What about choice? Isn't that what android is meant to be about compared to apple?
Isn't the whole idea about android is to customise the phone settings to an individuals liking?

I rolled back to android 5 and like it better.
Better battery life and no screen freeze.
