Android Central Question

Somebody help me please

I have android version 7.0, galaxy note 5 with T-Mobile and I can't find the lock recent apps functionality. I need this terribly. Considering downloading a Rom for a more recent version?? Though it should be on this one...

So yeah there's simply no lock icon on the recent apps in the recent apps screen, there's no ellipse menu icon where you can choose to turn on the lock unlock feature. I've done a lot of searching in settings to no avail. Trying to figure out how to post a picture on here...

Welcome to Android Central! Are you just trying to prevent anyone from clearing out certain apps from the Recent Apps screen? Or are you habitually closing apps, and want to prevent apps from closing? With Android, it's actually not necessary nor advised to close apps out of RAM on a regular basis, unless a certain app is malfunctioning.

I don't recall there being any such feature on my LG phones.
It is possible that some phone makers opted not to support the feature.
It is also possible I just don't remember the feature.
My LG V30 running Android 9 does not have this feature.

Yours should have that

My bad, it does have it. I was misinterpreting the icons. :-(
Both the screen pinning and list locking use a variation of the thumb tack icon on my V30.
It's a underrated feature that comes in handy , won't leave your recent apps even if you clear it out or if Android system cleans ram automatically.
