AC Question

Just got my LG Aristo Android 7.0 . Press and hold a homescreen icon and it lets me move it to another position , or another screen, but the trashcan/REMOVE option is gone. I went back to the metro PCS store and they said Android 7.0 doesn't support removal? I also looked through settings to see if perhaps it was disabled- didn't see anyrthing like that.

That doesn't sound right- its too basic a function to discard. Obviously users want to be able to remove aps from the homescreen.

Anyone seen/solved this?

Welcome to the forums. In some LG models the stock launcher doesn't include an app drawer anymore, so all your apps reside on your home screens. To get the app drawer back you can install a third party launcher, such as Nova.

As Javier said "In some LG models the stock launcher doesn't include an app drawer anymore, so all your apps reside on your home screens.", this statement is somewhat true, though it is not completely true as after people started complaining about wanting the app drawer back with the G5 LG provided the option to reinstate the app drawer to the home screen.
