I have a Droid Turbo2 and yesterday I got a notification that a new update was available. I assumed it was Nougat, but after the update installed, my phone info shows Android 6.0.1. Is this a pre-update, update? I'm not sure why it hasn't updated with 7. Thanks!

I get so confused. I've read on some websites that Motorola devices were supposed to get at the end of September and others either say October or don't have a date listed. So now I'm assuming that this was a security patch for the release of Nougat? If Nexus are the only ones, then I'll have to patiently wait. Thanks for your reply.

That really sucks considering this phone is only a year old and doesn't receive an update? Here it is listed as both the X Force and the Turbo 2 getting the update: http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_po...l_get_android_70_nougat_update-news-20890.php

The X Force is XT1580 and the Turbo 2 is XT1585.

I guess I will just have to wait and see but I find it odd that a phone that is only a year old wouldn't be getting the update. If this is how Motorola will continue, then I will find another brand phone next year.

I can't believe you made any of those statements? Why in the world would think any phone let alone a Moto would get Nougat in September? Check back in May of next year if your phone will even get it at all. Dude, Verizon exclusive phones are not known for updates.

Sorry for asking a question on a forum where you can find answers to things you may not know. Good day.
