ok, reset and it was fine for 10 minutes then reverted back to not recognizing sim and saying ...no connection.
rolled back to nougat since i need my phone to work. off tomorrow at noon so will play around with it then.
really want to continue with the beta but not sure i can get back in.
will keep you posted and thanks for the tips and good thoughts!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, so I'm wondering if she get back on the Beta, it's more than likely going to be Beta 1.

Thanks for sharing that. Had to roll back to Nougat last night because phone wouldn't recognize my sim. Don't have the members app anymore so I'll keep checking for news of a fix. I'm still getting a notification in settings that the beta is waiting to be downloaded but need my phone to work for the next 8 hours at work. Hope yours is doing fine. I really want to stay in the beta so hope the fix comes today.

I have an unlocked s8 using a Straight Talk Verizon SIM. Don't know if the issue is having an mvno or that it's Verizon SIM.

My daughter just texted me the same re: her SD card. Damn.
Really thought they would have included October security patch as well. It was a small update for sure.

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed on both counts. Still the Samsung Apps still work fine but they have been updated for Oreo as well.

I tried the Samsung Music Player hoping it would hold me over until Poweramp gets updated but the app doesn't have any option (that I could find) to utilize the sd card! None of my library showed up and no setting to select the library's location.

Well that's a no go, at least until I get off work. I've toggled on the "later" option so hopefully it doesn't start the download in the background.

It could be a Verizon issue since Samsung isn't officially testing Verizon/AT&T. I have an unlocked S8+ on Cricket Wireless and have no network issues. My phone did freeze once after the update but a soft reset fixed it.

If it helps I'm on a prepaid Verizon plan and haven't seen the issue. Unlocked S8.

Got a spare phone you can pop your sim in?
Turning off wifi or the phone at night might help.

Maybe because my problem is Verizon on Straight Talk. Glad yours is working, though that still sucks about the SD card issue.
