android 9 switching multiple users problem

Hi

I've set up my wife as a multiple user on a Samsung galaxy Tab A Android 9.

If I'm logged in, I can switch to her user account, she logs in and its all fine. However, she cannot log in from the lock screen. When she pulls up the tab to switch users, her name is greyed out and her icon is blacked out.She has to pass the tab to me to enter my pin and log in then I can switch users, pass the tab to her where she enters her pin and can log in fine.

Can someone please tell me where we are going wrong?
