Android Auto & 2105 Nissan Rouge navigation, can I get some help hooking this up?

Android Auto & 2105 Nissan Rouge navigation

I drive a 2015 Nissan Rouge with factory installed navigation.

I have a LG G4 smart Phone running Android 5.1 Lollipop.

I am a UBER driver and would very much like to use the Android Auto feature.

I downloaded Android Auto onto my LG G4 and then connected the phone by way of the USB data cable that came with the LG G4 to the navigation systems port.

Nothing happens. With the exception that at times I see a message on my Nissan navigations screen that the Blue tooth connection is not compatible, I simply cannot get any response whatsoever.

According to the Android Auto Web site the combination of a LG G4 phone/Android 5.1 Lollipop with the Android Auto app should work with a 2015 Nissan Rouge.

Help- Anyone have a suggestion?

You're not gonna like this but,
The system in your car also needs to be compatible with AA and Nissan hasn't announced any models yet. It's also not likely to be backwards compatible.
