Android Auto Issues

A couple of weeks ago Android Auto's USB connection kept looping..... No its not a bootloop for those thinking it. Anyway rebooted the phone and it was OK for the most part. Sunday it started acting up and refused to work. I tried it again today and just keeps looping the USB connection. I tried my extra LG cable and bang it works perfectly. The cable seems to work for everything else although maybe I should try it on a PC just to make sure. Charges perfectly so I'm thinking LG owes me a cable....yeah I'm cheap that way.
