Works fine with my car. I'm actually car shopping right now and just test drove three cars today. Android Auto worked just fine with my S20+ in all cases.

On my Note 10 Plus it's very frustrating. My iPhone just works when I connect it to my Q3.

Working here with a S20 ultra and 2017 Civic SI. I did have to set a permission before it would load onto my cars display but there was a pop-up that automatically asked me and I didn't have to go digging in settings or anything.

I do notice that Android auto did change something with the S20. Seems like they split it into two now. Now there's a Android Auto for phone screens and android auto for your car where there's no icon.

Just curious what vehicle won't it work on? Make sure you have your phone screen on in case it asks for permissions.

So I can't figure out how to set up my wireless Android Auto.

With my S10+ when I connect to Bluetooth I can start up AA. But there is a AA app.

With my S20 Ultra the AA button is greyed out. There is also no AA app. AA works if I used USB but I don't want that.

My receiver is a Kenwood DMX905s.


Edit: posted in the Google and Samsung forums along with a Play Store review. So hopefully someone knows the answer.

I just wanted to post a bug when using android auto with the Samsung S-View flip cover case. If you have the cover closed and turn off your car while playing music on Android auto, as soon as you open the cover the music will start playing on the phone!

Also I get better usb connection results if you wait for the head unit to fully boot up before plugging in your phone to the USB.

I have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee my note 10+ and my S20 ultra AA connects to blue tooth no problem.
But the app was changed recently If you go to play store there is app for AA. The app says AA for phone screen. Once installed open it. Look for phone screen settings. Then click it look for autolaunch and toggle setting on. See if that works

Update: Wireless Android Auto works now. Worked after updating Weblink for Kenwood (only noticed the fix after the update but not sure if it was the actual fix)

Now the only issue is it won't auto change to dark mode during the night.

When your phone connects to Bluetooth AA should start automatically.

Huh. In my car Android Auto only seems to work over USB. No big deal because I charge my phone on the way to work anyway plus wired audio sounds better than Bluetooth.

I have a Kenwood DDX8906S head unit in my 2009 JKU Rubicon. I started having issues where the wireless Android Auto stopped working I was getting an error of "Invalid Password". If I plugged in the USB it work like it should. I went back to Best Buy and we tried to figure it out for over an hour with no luck. They ordered a replacement head unit and the same was happening. We eventually figured it out.

If you are having the issue of "Invalid Password" here is what we did to get it to work.


1. Settings>Apps>Android Auto>Storage. Clear Data & Clear Cache. (Resetting Android Auto)

2. Check if Android Auto has any updates, if so update before continuing.

2. We unpaired the Bluetooth for the Head Unit. Settings>Connections>Bluetooth. Paired devices and remove the Head Unit from the paired list.

3. We forgot the Wi-Fi network the Head Unit. Settings>Connections>Wi-Fi. Remove the Wi-Fi network for the Head Unit, then click the 3 dots>Advanced>Manage Networks. Find the name of the Wi-Fi network in that list for the Head Unit and delete it.

4. Now plug in the phone and follow the instructions on the phone and the Head Unit and we were up and running again with functioning Wireless Android Auto.

I hope this helps some people out.
