android call shows as coming from iphone

Got something weird happening. Setup my wife's new iphone. She has her own gmail account totally separate from mine. I placed a call from my phone (android) to a friend of ours (this friend's phone # is also stored on my wife's iphone). When my friend got the call he responded by answering my wife's name. When I asked him why he did that he said that my wife's name showed up, instead of mine.

How is that possible? two completely different phones, two completely different OS systems and two completely different email accounts. Any suggestions anyone?

Unless your friend's iPhone is pulling caller ID names from someplace online, his contact info for you and your wife is messed up.
