Anyone else having trouble open the AC app after the Pie update?

When I updated my XL to pie, it started having trouble. I thought maybe when I went to my new 3XL, it would go away.....

Even with the January update, still having the problem.

If I hit the app from the home page, it shows a white screen for a second, then crashes and a white box pops up saying,
Close app
Report problem
App info

But, what is crazy, if I go to androidcentral.com with dolphin or chrome, then click the forum link, it will open the app and works just fine.

But it will not show AC's main page.

I would try deleting and reinstalling the app see if that helps but there's been 2 updates to the android central app recently.

Deleted the app reinstalled on 2 different devices.... Same thing.

I gave up on their app long long ago. Tapatalk is a much better solution for these forums.

The AC Forums app is actually pretty good.

I just use the browser... filtered with adguard = no ad's

Except half their articles read like ads these days.

I use Feedly to follow my Android blogs. The sites are just too ad heavy for my taste.

Not sure if it my interest level that is getting lower or if it is just the quality of the info. I just don't read the same number of articles I used to read.

I seldom read the articles (I admit, I like to look at the pictures). Lol

But it is a pain the the a$$ to have to open the browser, then have the browser open the app to get to the forums.

You would think being an android site/app, it should run fairly flawlessly

Gdraft, are we talking about the AC app, or the AC Forums app? (I have the Forums app running on the 2 with the January update, and aside from the lack of controls [for those of us who can manage the forums], it's been running nicely for a long time. (I don't use the AC app, because I prefer to do my article reading, here or elsewhere, on my desktop.)
