Android Central: Moto X (second generation) Review

He barely says squat about the battery life. That portion is really lazily written out. And it's such a talking point of the Moto X. Disappointing.

While I enjoyed reading the review, it had a largely negative feel to it. It is like "well its bigger so it is bad regardless of everything else it does great". It's like he didn't like it because of the first moto x and would not review it on its own. If another company made this phone or if the original x never existed, this review would probably be glowing instead of "well its great and all but the original moto x..."

Also the battery section left much to be desired, but I understand why he avoided digging deeper into that can of worms.

I wouldn't call it lazy. He didn't provide any 'data' on it but what AC review does? Most reviews by AC only touch on battery life. He said 12-15 hours which I know isn't enough for you but for some, like me, it will be fine. I'm not sure if you were expecting Phil to magically get better battery life so you can feel better about getting this phone or what. Each to their own but after Phil's review and some ATT ordering woes, I'm going to sit and wait to buy mine. My current X is doing just fine, like I've stated 3 times tonight. :p

The anandtech.com review seems to dig into a lot of benchmarks. I think they did a great job comparing many phones to the moto x.

It is better than the said 12-15 hours, I think that is more heavy use especially since they are reviewing a phone they don't take into account of using it more than a typical person who have to work 9-5 and doesn't touch the phone as much during that time, unless you're using the phone as your primary work tool or something.

Anyway, it is not that bad compared to last year Moto X, but I am collecting the battery life results for maybe 4-5 days and will post it in my review. I just think that anything is better than a typical Nexus battery life. I'm hoping Android L will improve the battery life on it though.

Looking forward to hearing your results, definitely.
