Hi all, I am new to this forum still finding my way around. I am also new to the Motorola G85 5G mobile phone. The phone is working fine but the problem I have is "I do not receive an audio sound when an email or text message arrives". It does not "beep" when a message arrives.
Question 1: How do I make it beep when a message arrives on the phone.?

My second question is when I press the power button to shut it down, it just darkens the screen it does not switch the phone Off completely.
How do I shut it down completely?

Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select one of those apps (like Messages), then Notifications, and then tap on the words "Incoming Messages" (not the toggle). On the next screen, make sure it's set to Default (and not Silent). Tap Sound and try selecting a different notification tone.
To change how the Power button behaves, see this: https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/181418/~/moto-gestures---moto-g85-5g:

"Choose what happens when you press & hold Power

1. Go to Settings > Gestures.
2. Tap Press and hold power button.
3. Choose what you want the gesture to do:
  • To start a voice command, select Digital assistant. (Option not available on all models)
  • To see the Power menu for turning off or restarting the phone, or going into Lockdown mode or Emergency mode, select Power menu."

Thank you, D. Diddy, your instructions worked fine. Slightly different to my phone setup but I managed to work my way around.
Thanks again.
