Is anyone else getting this feeling lately? Everything is about the Evo. Not much Incredible news, tips and tricks or accessories. I know its the newest, but its not like the Inc is out of production. How about getting some good accessories? Maybe the long awaited desk cradle/charger that doesn't look like a reject from the Borg?

Just some thoughts. Any of you other Dinc owners feel the same way?

AC does not:
-Make accessories
-Push Out Updates
-Make Apps for
The Incredible

Reason why it feels that way is that Froyo has pushed out for the EVO and most of the EVO users are either enjoying or having issues using the latest update. Give it some time. As soon as the Froyo update hits our phones you will see a shift in attention. ;)

Yeah I dont feel that way. Let the regular droid users get the bugs outta their update to froyo ;)( I dont know if their update started back yet or not) and maybe we wont have any in the incredible update.I still hoping somebody will make some more accessories for the D-INC ,if the demands enough you would think they would :)

i feel this way about the Dinc... it seems a lot of sites are forgetting us.

Its the life cycle of forums that cover multiple phones. The newest phone attracts the most attention. Droid users felt the same way when the N1 and DINC came along. You'll learn to live with it after a while.

It does that every once and awhile. When something new and exciting comes out, they follow that the most. Then something else comes out big, they follow that and the old topic gets left in the dust. It kind of goes in waves. Evo just came out with Froyo and some people are having problems. So they will cover it for awhile.

I think what he is trying to say is the fact that the Dinc only got coverage for a month before it's release and within a week lost it to the Evo and here we are 3 months later and the Evo is still king. I bet if VZW had LTE the Dinc would be up there too.

we had our 15 minutes...let others get their days.....heck everyone including 3rd party accessories aren't that great for the Inc.

It is what it is......I love CB's site with the ringtones, wallpapers, etc. but the community here is very supportive and not my X is better than your Inc.....at least not all the time :)

The Incredible seems to be the red-headed stepchild of Android no matter where you look. AC, Verizon in their AD campaign, or the whole Android Community. This isn't the first time this lack of coverage has been brought up, whether it be here or another Android related site. It's just how it is. As an Incredible owner who wouldn't trade my DInc for any other phone on the market, I definitely feel that it hasn't necessarily gotten the attention it deserves.

However, I don't think there is a conspiracy or anything. There are lots of Android devices out there to cover, especially with how fast they are coming out. We know the Incredible has sold well, and there are lots of them in the wild. But I, too, have often wondered where they were! I think us owners just have a great device that doesn't see as much modding as some other devices, and doesn't see as many shortcoming as others. However, to say we have a phone in the "middle" or that is "average" or "pretty good" is an understatement. We have a great device, there just isn't as much going on with it, which in turn means there is not much news to report. I love my Incredible and would love to see it get more coverage, but if you look hard enough now, you'll probably find what you're looking for. Just my opinion I guess.

Phil said in the podcast tonight that he loves the DInc. Last week he suggested we get our own logo/icon because he loves the nickname. I think Kyle's point about the fact that he does not have one is a driver, but many of the other writers do.

Let's keep focused on the Froyo Love.

Not that my opinion matters, but I think the lack of stock has hurt the Dinc accessories available. Dinc sales were lost to the Droid and the Droid X because of screen shortages. I would imagine that this affected the accessory makers - why create accessories for a phone that only has a limited base. Hopefully this changes, but I think it's too late to catch up.

I could not agree more. The shortage really hurt the Accessory love. These shortages in key technology parts are a big problem throughout the electronics industry.

Since the crash, when orders evaporated to nothing, all the major tech manufacturers slashed workforce and they just can?t meet peak demands for any popular new products.

Yeah, but it was actually the second best-selling phone of Q2 2010 (in the US). I don't look for a lot of accessories, personally, so I can't speak to accessory availability. It looks like it should be on manufacturer's radar, though. Maybe I'll get 1750 battery after I assess Froyo, but that's about it.

We're still working on the logo, but it's actually changing to Incredible Central! In all seriousness, I think the production issues hurt this phone a lot. In my opinion it's still one of the best Android phones you can buy.

Prior to the EVO launch on 6/4/2010, users made about 25,000 DINC posts. Users have made 18,000 DINC posts since. The DINC interest is pretty much level.

Prior to the EVO launch on 6/4/2010, users made about 10,000 EVO posts. Users have made 63,000 EVO posts since - 4 times as many.

The Android X has gone from almost none to 21,000 posts since 6/4/2010. Next up will be the Epic.

The little Aria came out in June as well and there have been a total of 395 posts.

For the foreseeable future, the Android interest is moving away from 3" screen segment to the 4" screen segment.

Actually Verizon reported the DInc as the best-selling phone of Q2 2010 (in the US). Best Sellers - Best Selling Cell Phones - Mobiledia.
As for the best Android phones sold in Q2, the top 5 of the most wanted devices is:
1. Motorola Droid
2. HTC Droid Incredible
3. HTC EVO 4G
4. HTC Hero
5. HTC Droid Eris
If we count the top of the carriers in US, is quite obvious that Verizon Wireless continues to occupy the first position with a market share of 33%, ahead of AT&T with 25% and T-Mobile with only 11%. The average selling price for all phones in Q2 reached $90, "which is a 3 percent increase since Q2 last year" and for smartphones only was $143 with "a 9 percent decrease over the previous year".

This #2 thing is only because it was released late in the Qtr.
